Eating nutritional, well balanced meals at school also plays an important part in this and is unquestionably the core to a healthy school life. We are responsible for ensuring that minimum nutritional standards for school meals are maintained as prescribed by the Government's National Nutritional Standards for school lunches.

The current price of a pupil paid meal is £2.20 per day for all pupils as set by the City Council from September 2016. To ensure consistent standards of service and nutritional value across the City, the City Council's pricing policy was adopted by all schools.
