Green Flag Eco Team
Eco Team Values
We have a strong Eco Team at our school. The Eco Team are responsible for a whole range of inititives in school, which help to improve our World. We are one of only 23 schools in Newcastle that have been awarded Green Flag status!
Our Eco Team work closely with our whole school community and the Local Authority to raise awareness of environmental issues which affect us all. As part of this work, our Eco Team centre their ideas and thoughts around eight main themes:
- Food and Drink
- Local Well-Being
- Buildings and Grounds
- Energy and Water
- Puchasing and Waste
- Taffic and Travel
- Inclusion and Participation
- Global Dimension
In 2017, our school was awarded the Green Flag, recognising our work with the environment. 2018, we opened our Outdoor Classroom and Nature Reserve on our school field.

Eco Team Green Projects
We are currently involved in many school Green Projects this academic year. Our Green Eco Team are focussing their efforts on:
- Recycling
- Litter Free Environment and Awareness Project
- Healthy School packed lunches
- Nature Garden Development (Phase 2)
- Developing our woodland area to increase wildlife activities
- New bicycle and scooter shelters for our school yards
